Purpose

Personal Paraphrase: What the author wants people to get from reading their story. Whether a story is written to entertain, instruct or persuade, each story has a reason behind it.

Design

Personal Paraphrase: The format of the story. Authors use different fonts, colors and layouts to add to the readers experience and to emphasize certain things.

Style

Personal Paraphrase: The way the author is writing. An author's style can bee seen in their word choice, figurative language and sentence structure.

Structure of the story

Examples the author includes in their story
